Royan, La Rochelle, Saintes

Access

Car: via the Paris – A10 Bordeaux autoroute. Coming from Paris the nearest exit is Saintes. Pisany is a mere 10 kms along the N150 heading West towards Royan from the Saintes exit. If you are travelling from the south take the same exit.

Train: travelling by train is easy via the Eurostar to either Lille or Paris and then via TGV to Angoulême. From there you will need to hire a car to Pisany (approximately 45 minutes away) or alternatively you can take a local train from Angoulême to Saintes and pick up a car from there.

Air: the closest airport is La Rochelle (Buzz/Ryan Air from London Stansted), which is only 45 minutes drive from Pisany. Alternatively Bordeaux International airport is just over one hour to the South.

Pisany has an excellent boulangerie, hotel, restaurant, bar, pharmacy, post office, municipal tennis courts and swimming pool as well as an all year weekly market. However a car is really a necessity if you want to explore this beautiful area.
